Colorado has never started a season 3-0-0.  Prior to moving to Denver, the Nordiques started 3-0 or better four times: 1985-86 (7-0-0), 1994-95 (5-0-0), 1992-93 (4-0-0) and 1987-88 (3-0-0)

MacKinnon was the youngest player at the time of his first NHL game since Nino Niederreiter was exactly the same age for his debut on Oct. 9, 2010. MacKinnon, the first overall selection in this year’s draft, picked up a pair of assists in that debut for his first career points. He became the youngest NHL player to record two or more points in a game since January 8, 1944, when Ted Kennedy tallied four points (1g/3a) for the Maple Leafs in a 12-3 win over the Bruins in Toronto at the age of 18 years, 27 days
